Maalox Plus

Each tablet contains-

• Dried Aluminium Hydroxide Gel BP 425.53 mg or 200 mg
• Magnesium Hydroxide 400 mg or 200 mg
• Simethicone 30 mg

Each 5 ml Suspension contains-

• Aluminium Oxide 200 mg
• Magnesium Hydroxide 400 mg
• Simethicone 30 mg

This drug is the mixture of non-systemic acid neutralizing substances and antiflatulent. This preparation offers reliability as well as long action. Aluminium Hydroxide and Magnesium Hydroxide induce the relief of ulcer by neutralizing gastric acid secreted from parietal cells of the stomach. The clinical use of simethicone is based on its antifoam properties. Simethicone spreads on the surface of aqueous liquids, forming a film of low surface tension and causing collapse of foam bubbles. Simethicone repeatedly allows mucous surrounded gas bubbles in the GI tract to coalesce and be expelled.

This drug is used in the treatment of flatulence and meteorism for the elimination of gas, air or foam from the gastro-intestinal tract prior to radiography and for the relief of abdominal distension and dyspepsia. Simethicone is physiologically inert; it does not appeared to be absorbed from the GI tract to interfere with gastric secretion or absorption of nutrients. Following oral administration, the drug is excreted unchanged in the feces

Maalox Plus খাওয়ার নিয়ম / ব্যবহারের নিয়ম

• ট্যাবলেট : ১ - ২ টি ট্যাবলেট খাবারের ১ থেকে ২ ঘন্টা পরে অথবা শােবার সময়।
• সাসপেনশন : ১ - ২ চা চামচ খাবারের ১ থেকে ২ ঘন্টা পরে এবং শােবার সময় অথবা চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ অনুযায়ী সেব্য।

পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া

ডায়রিয়া, কোষ্ঠকাঠিন্য কিংবা বমি | বমি ভাব দেখা দিতে পারে।

সতর্কতা

যেসব রােগীদের হাইপােফসফেটেমিয়া আছে তাদেরকে এই ওষুধ দেয়া যাবে না।

মিথস্ক্রিয়া

গর্ভাবস্থাকালীন ব্যবহার

গর্ভধারণের প্রথম তিন মাস এটি ব্যবহার না করার পরামর্শ দেয়া হয়। গর্ভাবস্থায় ও স্তন্যদান কালে প্রয়ােজনীয়তার উপর ভিত্তি করে দেয়া যেতে পারে।

তীব্র ওভারডোজ

অন্যান্য ওষুধের সাথে প্রতিক্রিয়া

এন্টিকোলিনার্জিক এজেন্ট, কিটোকোনাজল, ডিগােক্সিন, কুইনাইন, ওয়ারফারিন, টেট্রাসাইক্লিন, আয়রন প্রভৃতি ঔষধের শােষণ কমিয়ে দিতে পারে।

সংরক্ষণ

বাচ্চাদের নাগালের বাইরে শীতল ও শুকনো জায়গায় রাখুন।
