Neo K
Vitamin K-1 (Phytomenadione) is a procoagulant factor. As a component of a hepatic carboxylase system, vitamin K- 1 is involved in the post translational carboxylation of clotting factors II (prothrombin), VII, IX and X and the clotting inhibitors protein C and protein S. Vitamin K-1 is ineffective in hereditary hypoprothrombinemia or hypoprothrombinemia induced by severe hepatic failure. Lack of vitamin K-1 leads to an increased tendency to haemorrhagic disease in the newborn. Vitamin K-1 administration, which promotes synthesis of the above-mentioned coagulation factors by the liver, can reverse an abnormal coagulation status and bleeding due to vitamin K-1 deficiency.

- নবজাতকের ক্ষেত্রে প্রতিরােধক হিসাবে ও হেমােরেজিক অবস্থায় ব্যবহার্য।
- তীব্র হাইপােপ্রােষিনেমিয়ার (ক্লটিং ফ্যাক্টর, II, VII, IX I X এর অভাব) কারনে সৃষ্ট হেমােরেজ বা তার ঝুঁকি, কোমারিন জাতীয় অ্যান্টি কোয়াগুলেন্টের অতিমাত্রায় ব্যবহার, ফিনাইল বিউটাজোন এবং হাইপােভিটামিনােসিস-কে (জন্ডিস, লিভার ও ইন্টেসটাইনের অকার্যকারিতা, দীর্ঘমেয়াদী অ্যান্টিবায়ােটিক, সালফোনামাইড, সালফোনামাইড ও স্যালিসাইলেটের ব্যবহার)। ভিটামিন কে এর অভাবজনিত রক্তক্ষরণে ব্যবহার্য।

- মৃদু হেমােরেজ বা হেমােরেজের প্রবণতা: নবজাতকের ক্ষেত্রে সাধারণত: জন্মের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে বা সামান্য পরে ২ মি. গ্রা. মাত্রায় মুখে খাওয়াতে হয়। পরবর্তীতে ৪র্থ-৫ম, দিনে ২ মি.গ্রা. ও ২৮ তম৩০তম দিনে আরাে ২ মি.গ্রা. মুখে খাওয়াতে হবে।
- মুখে খাওয়ানাে না গেলে আইভি/আইএম পথে একই মাত্রায় দেয়া যায়।
- এক বছরের বেশি বয়সের শিশুর ক্ষেত্রে ৫-১০ মি.গ্রা. পর্যন্ত মুখে খাওয়ানাে যেতে পারে।
পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া
ফাইটোমেনডিওন ইঞ্জেকশন ব্যবহারের ক্ষেত্রে কিছু অ্যানাফাইল্যাকটয়েড প্রতিক্রিয়া ও ভেনাস ইরিটেশন এর তথ্য পাওয়া গেছে।
সতর্কতা
Careful monitoring of the coagulation parameters is necessary for patients with severely impaired liver function after administration of Phytomenadione .
মিথস্ক্রিয়া
Vitamin K-1 antagonises the effect of coumarin-type anticoagulants. Coadministration of anticonvulsants can impair the action of vitamin K-1.
গর্ভাবস্থাকালীন ব্যবহার
ভিটামিন কে-১ প্লাসেন্টা বা মায়ের দুধে খুব অল্প পরিমানে প্রবেশ করে। রােগের ঝুঁকি ও ভিটামিন কে-১ এর প্রয়ােজনীয়তার উপর ভিত্তি করে পরামর্শ দেয়া যেতে পারে।
বৈপরীত্য
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its constituents.
